We were delighted to welcome The Bailiff of Guernsey, Ms Jessica Roland, to Citizens Advice Guernsey this week in her capacity as our new Patron.
During her visit, Ms Roland met members of our team and learned more about the wide range of advice, information and support we provide to islanders facing challenges relating to debt, housing, employment, benefits, relationships and other issues affecting daily life.
She also met volunteers from our Research and Campaigns team, who produce evidence based reports highlighting emerging trends and issues affecting our community. Using anonymised client data and experiences, these reports help identify wider problems, inform decision makers and ensure islanders’ voices are heard.
We are honoured that Ms Roland has agreed to become our Patron and are grateful for the time she took to meet our staff and volunteers and gain a first-hand understanding of the charity’s work.
Our sincere thanks to Ms Roland for her interest, encouragement and support. We look forward to working together to raise awareness of Citizens Advice Guernsey and ensure everyone in our community knows where to turn when they need free, confidential, independent and impartial advice.
